Martínez replaces David Greene, who left the show in 2020.

“Morning Edition” and “All Things Considered” will each feature four hosts.

Martin says she also wants the show to be more comfortable sounding live.
Election news, network and station efforts, and a change in Nielsen technology could all be contributing.
She will stay at NPR as a special correspondent.
