Increased funding could support remote-learning services amid the pandemic, argued APTS CEO Pat Butler.

The legislation would provide funds to stations for workforce development through the Department of Education.

Four stations in Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana will form the collaborative newsroom.
The proposed budget also seeks to zero out Ready To Learn.
The broadcaster also addressed problems with open meetings and grant reporting highlighted in a CPB audit.
Findings will help public media’s content creators and stations connect with school-aged children and teens.
Reporters at public radio stations will contribute to “Every 30 Seconds.”
The grants expand on CPB’s American Graduate initiative.
