MPR is also ending distribution and broadcasts of “The Writer’s Almanac” and rebroadcasts of “The Best of A Prairie Home Companion” hosted by Keillor.

The board also heard messages of support for CEO Jarl Mohn.
“I am unable to devote the amount of time that the current situation … demands of the NPR board chair to be truly effective,” said Roger LaMay.
Meanwhile, CEO Jarl Mohn has told employees he is aiming for a “culture shift” at the network.
