With its latest round of funding, CPB has invested $4.9 million in its state government initiative.
Beginning Tuesday, a reporter will rotate into a three-week assignment at the Association of Independents in Radio headquarters in Fields Corner, part of the Boston neighborhood of Dorchester.
The stations air a mix of international programming, including some locally produced shows.
Last week’s firing of a reporter should be a learning experience for public media stations, particularly those licensed to entities with agendas that can easily clash with the mission of a news organization.
PRI currently distributes the programs.
