Jim Rondeau takes over Monday as GM of KLCC in Eugene, Ore.

Rondeau previously directed broadcast operations at KSBR in Mission Viejo, Calif. He led the station in 2017 as it partnered on programming with KCSN in Northridge, Calif.

Earlier in his career Rondeau was PD and morning anchor for KCLU in Santa Barbara, Calif. The Los Angeles Press Club honored him as Best Radio Anchor in Southern California in 2011 and 2012.

Rondeau also worked in commercial radio in Los Angeles as afternoon host at KCBS-FM and anchor/reporter at CBS News Radio’s KNX.

In a statement, Rondeau called KLCC “one of the jewels of the public radio system.”

The “passion and dedication” of staff and volunteers and support from licensee Lane Community College “exemplify community service at its best,” he said.

Rondeau succeeds John Stark, who retired in August after 44 years in public radio.
