  1. “People don’t really own radios anymore”??? What is this nonsense? 92% of all public radio content is still consumed via traditional AM & FM broadcasting.

I really wish the digital illuminati, or “digerrati”, that are getting so common in public radio…and it seems inordinately prevalent at TAL (likely due to their NYC location)…would stop having this attitude that because THEY think AM/FM is dead that it must automatically be true for everyone. Yes, a lot of listening is still done in the car. Guess what, Millennials are buying more cars! The rumors of radio’s death in Gen Y are greatly exaggerated.

    • Hi,

I know this is old, BUT…

Millennials aren’t listening to the AM/FM in their cars these days… They will either have Bluetooth or AUX linked to their phone with music blasting from apps such as Pandora, Spotify, etc.

I’m a millennial who refuses to put a TV in their room because I hate it. So, I have radios in my home. One upstairs in my room and the other downstairs in my kitchen. They both have NPR playing all day everyday, so I don’t miss anything that’s happening in our world heheh xoxo
