It takes some planning to create a voter guide that geolocates users, but the payoff is entirely worth it.
We in public media often refer to our little world as “the system.” If we are, in fact, an interdependent system, fundraising to support fellow stations and staffers in distress is the kind of thing we can do to prove it.
Bugg will replace Perry Simon, who informed PBS he was stepping down this summer.
Public Media for All calls on those who seek to improve diversity, equity and inclusion across the system to take a break from work Nov. 10.
The station promises that listeners “won’t hear these pandemic stories anywhere else.”
The funded projects seek to “cater creatively to the local information needs of voters or tackle misinformation directly.”
Ramer joined the board in 2008 and has served as board chair from 2010–12 and since 2018.
The licensee’s board will present a detailed plan in December to be approved by April. The plan may include cuts to NPR and PBS programming, as well as FNX.
“I’m ready to take a little break from the Here and Now, if you will, and prepare for my next challenge,” he said.
Nagan led several new initiatives, including the launch of “POV” shorts.
A CPB grant will help the three stations develop a business and sustainability plan.
