“Southwest Florida in Focus,” a half-hour of TV news for Fort Myers and beyond, launched as a cost-effective model for producing local coverage.
The broadcaster also addressed problems with open meetings and grant reporting highlighted in a CPB audit.
Hubbs has led several WSRE productions as an EP and also created local education programs.
The station said it is adopting changes recommended by a law firm that reviewed its management practices.

“Where we may proceed in the future isn’t clear,” says co-host Brooke Gladstone.
With cash prizes of $75,000 as completion funds, producers expect to release their shows for broadcast later this year.
The Atlanta station named a chief content officer and a VP of development.
NPR received $1 million from a donor to support its investigative journalism.
Reed, a former educator and prospective professional football player, also worked for CPB, PBS and KIXE.
Each recipient’s local station will receive a $15,000 grant from Sesame Workshop to advance its work in early childhood education.
