Favian Perez tapped as CEO of Nevada Public Radio

Favian Perez was chosen to lead Nevada Public Radio in Las Vegas by the station’s board Friday, according to an announcement

Perez has been serving as the station’s interim CEO. He replaces Mark Vogelzang, who retired last year.

“Favian has demonstrated his commitment [and] dedication to KNPR as well as his knowledge of the task ahead,” Don Hamrick, the station’s board chair, wrote in an email to staff. “He is best suited to lead our organization & our support is 100% behind him.”

Perez joined the station in 2013 as an account executive, according to his LinkedIn profile. He has served in various roles at the station, including COO and senior director of revenue.
