A $100,000 grant from Press Forward will help Radio Catskill in New York hire at least one additional reporter.
The majority of the funding is supporting the station’s live-events venue.

“Neal did every job you could do in radio,” said Robert Siegel, former “All Things Considered” host, of his longtime colleague. “He was terrifically gifted at everything.”
During the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour, PBS announced funding for Firelight Media, updates to its producer requirements and a new SVP for DEI.
The station will lease space from Chappelle, a major WYSO supporter, who bought the building last year and is renovating it to meet the station’s needs.
