Bodley will step into a new role as chief advancement officer at WVTF in Roanoke, Va.

She began at KPCW in 2015 as a part-time news reporter before being promoted to GM in 2017. Prior to joining the station, she worked for 16 years as VP of news at Salt Lake City’s Fox affiliate.

“It’s clear the station is on solid footing, so it seemed to be a good time to make a transition in the corner office,” Bodley said in the announcement, which also touted a “record-breaking fundraiser” during KPCW’s winter drive. The station raised nearly $310,000, 10% more than its March fundraiser in 2023, according to the announcement.

Bodley said she is proud of the growth of the station’s newsroom during her tenure. “We have a seven-person news department providing deeper coverage of Summit and Wasatch counties that accommodates the tremendous growth our region has experienced,” she said in the announcement. “The newsroom is staffed seven days a week. All of our on air stories are now also online, and the launch of The Local was a huge step for the station in terms of growing our audience.” The Local, a daily morning email newsletter, launched in 2022.

Bodley also “took on a capital campaign — raising the necessary funds to expand KPCW’s offices on Swede Alley just before COVID,” said Robert Holmes, chair of the station’s board, in the announcement. “Even more significantly, she has been instrumental in strengthening community support for KPCW and expanding the Broadcasters Club, ensuring the fiscal health of this nonprofit radio station.”
