Danae Davis will serve as interim executive director while a search committee seeks a permanent replacement. Sucher had run the organization since 2020. He stepped down to “pursue other opportunities,” according to a press release.

“On advice of counsel, I’m not at liberty to talk about it right now,” Sucher told Milwaukee magazine.

“We appreciate Kevin’s work at Radio Milwaukee and his commitment to advancing our mission of being a catalyst for creating a better, more inclusive and engaged community. We wish him the best moving forward,” said Ross Williams, chair of Radio Milwaukee’s board of directors, in a press release. “We’re very pleased to have Danae as interim executive director as she brings a high level of experience and understanding of Radio Milwaukee and our mission as an organization.”

Davis was previously on the board of directors of Radio Milwaukee for nine years and has served as board chair. She is also executive director of the nonprofit Milwaukee Succeeds and will remain in that role.

Jordan Lee, who left Radio Milwaukee recently to join Paragon Media Strategies after serving as station manager, will “facilitate the leadership transition,” according to the release.
