Kurt Wilson took over as station manager of WHQR in Wilmington, N.C., in February.
Wilson replaced Michelle Rhinesmith, who left the station in September after two years. WHQR is a news and classical station.
Wilson has worked in public media for nearly two decades, most recently as GM of Yellowstone Public Radio in Billings, Mont. He previously spent 15 years at Central Michigan Public Broadcasting in Mt. Pleasant.
Before joining public media, he worked as a television sports anchor, news anchor and play-by-play announcer at outlets including the Utah Jazz Radio Network.
