NPR and AFTRA strike deal for five-year contract

At 5:15 a.m. today (Oct. 8), NPR and AFTRA (the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) reached agreement on a five-year contract, NPR President Vivian Schiller told pubradio staff in an e-mail message. The deal is subject to ratification by the bargaining unit.
