President Biden’s proposed budget includes $475M for CPB

President Donald Trump is continuing his efforts to wind down funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, but without success so far. Lawmakers have recommended level funding for CPB despite Trump’s proposals. If CPB receives the funds, it would bring its emergency support from the government to $250 million.
The proposed budget also seeks to zero out Ready To Learn.
Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-Colo.) has once again proposed legislation to defund CPB and NPR.
Lawmakers also voted for a $2 million increase in Ready To Learn funds and level support for interconnection.
