“The show is me having a midlife career crisis as a journalist,” says Reed, host and EP of “Question Everything,” a biweekly podcast slated to release Sept. 12.
The multi-episode series, slated to launch in 2024, is designed to air in the run-up to public TV’s pledge season.
Goldberg will maintain his position as editor-in-chief of the magazine while hosting the Friday-evening public affairs program.
“What sticks with people in the end is a story about another human being and what they’ve gone through,” says Joanna Kakissis.
“We decided to just put ads aside for a little bit and rely on this public radio model,” says co-host Andrew Walsh.
The team of Native American producers and directors gave the season a “visceral authenticity,” said Providence Pictures EP Gary Glassman.
Three staffers on the show team and a digital content manager are being laid off.
