All Things Considered host Ari Shapiro is expected to host his final show Sept. 26 as he leaves the network.

Detrow has been a weekend host of the program since May 2023. He will continue to co-host the daily news podcast Consider This, according to a news release.

Since joining NPR in 2015, Detrow has also co-hosted NPR Politics Podcast for seven years and covered the White House, Congress and two presidential campaigns, according to the release.

His first full-time job after college was as a local ATC host at WITF in Harrisburg, Pa., the release said.

“I can’t wait to bring listeners the news five days a week now,” Detrow said in the release. “And at this moment where we are all focusing on strengthening the entire public media network and working together more closely than ever before, I’m proud that I started out as an ATC host at a NPR Member station, and now will be doing that job nationally.”

ATC debuted in 1971. Other hosts include Ailsa Chang, Mary Louise Kelly and Juana Summers.
