Shane Iverson, GM of KYUK in Bethel, Alaska, left the station Feb. 9, according to an interview posted on the station’s website earlier this month.

Iverson, who had led the station since 2016, took a new job as Parks and Recreation director for the city of Bethel, he said in the interview.
Prior to his role as GM, Iverson spent more than a decade volunteering and working at the station. His staff roles included working as a reporter, radio director and director of content and operations.
Kristin Hall, KYUK development director, will serve as acting GM, Iverson said in the interview.
“I’ve offered my services to continue to help in the transition, because KYUK is just so important and I just want to do everything I can to make sure … everyone, staff and the audience, have continuity going forward,” he said.
