CPB has named former Sesame Workshop CFO Daryl Mintz as CFO and treasurer.
He replaces William Tayman, who retired in April after taking on the position in 2006.
Mintz started as assistant controller at Sesame Workshop in 1999 and became CFO in 2010. He left Sesame Workshop in 2022 and has since worked as chief financial and administrative officer of the Robin Hood Foundation and then chief financial and strategy officer for The Second City, according to a news release.
“I am looking forward to joining the dynamic team at CPB and returning to a role that will allow me to contribute to the ongoing success of public media,” Mintz said in the release.
Mintz’s responsibilities will include CPB’s financial procedures and the direction of its administrative, human resources and treasury functions, the release said.
“Daryl is an accomplished financial officer with decades of experience who will bring value to CPB helping us steward the federal appropriation for public media,” CPB President Patricia Harrison said in the release.
