Four special episodes of Closer Look with Rose Scott, a civics program from WABE in Atlanta, will be distributed by PRX, according to a Thursday press release.
Closer Look is a daily midday news magazine highlighting stories and issues impacting Atlanta.
The episodes offered by PRX will “highlight Atlanta’s role in national conversations,” according to the release.
The first episode, to be released Aug. 16, examines the impacts of the 1954 U.S. Supreme Court ruling to desegregate schools, Brown v. Board of Education. Subsequent episodes, to be released monthly, will look at solutions to Atlanta’s income gap, housing instability and the future of American life in 2026, especially in the South.
“I can’t wait to connect with audiences beyond our city,” said Scott, EP and host. “Atlanta has a wealth of stories and perspectives, and I am excited to amplify them to a broader stage.”
