GBH in Boston announced Tuesday that it has received a five-year, $5 million grant to support a daily radio program.

The Culture Show, a daily, hourlong arts and culture program launched in November, aims to provide an “expansive look at society through art, culture and entertainment,” according to its website.

The grant from The Fiducia Fund will help the program expand with the addition of YouTube streaming, a daily podcast, a weekly newsletter and live events.

Jared Bowen, GBH’s executive arts editor, hosts the program along with a rotating group of co-hosts: Callie Crossley, host of Under the Radar with Callie Crossley; Edgar B. Herwick III, host of The Curiosity Desk; and James Bennett II, a GBH News arts and culture reporter.

“The arts are vital to a thriving community and The Culture Show brings the local arts scene to the forefront for our listeners,” said GBH CEO Susan Goldberg in a press release. “This extraordinary commitment from The Fiducia Fund is the largest gift ever dedicated to GBH News. It is invaluable to ensuring we can continue to expand our coverage of the arts.”
