Stephen Yasko will step up to GM at WFIT in Melbourne, Fla.
Yasko, who has managed the station’s programming since 2022, succeeds Terri Wright. She will remain at the station in a part-time role.
WFIT airs Triple A music and NPR news programming.
“We’re going to extend our commitment to the community by engaging with nonprofit organizations that enhance the quality of life on the Space Coast and support the musicians and artists contributing to our very special Central Florida culture,” Yasko said in a press release.
A public media veteran, Yasko’s previous roles include founding GM of WTMD in Baltimore and marketing director and producer on The Diane Rehm Show. He has also worked for NPR, Pacifica and WMFE in Orlando, Fla.
