KCRW in Santa Monica, Calif., is adding its sixth full-power FM signal.
The signal, 101.3 FM in Los Osos-Baywood, Calif., was donated by El Dorado Broadcasters and previously aired adult contemporary music, according to Radio Insight. The station’s intellectual property was sold in June to a commercial radio company. The new signal is north of KCRW’s current coverage area.
When the deal is finalized, KCRW will have a network of 15 FM signals and translators. The station currently has a potential reach of nearly 12 million people.
