Stephen Yasko is no longer g.m. of WTMD-FM in Towson, Md., after 13 years of running the Towson University–owned Triple A station.

The Baltimore Sun reported July 28 that Yasko had been replaced. Josianne Pennington, Towson’s director of university marketing and communication, said Program Director Scott Mullins had been named interim g.m.

Pennington did not say whether Yasko was appealing the decision but confirmed that he remains an employee of Towson University.

“We’re totally committed to the station and its mission,” Pennington said. “We also support the current strategy and commitment to the listeners.”

According to WTMD’s audited financial statements for the year ending June 30, 2014, the most recent available, the station posted a $51,000 loss on $1.7 million in revenue. In 2013, WTMD recorded a $23,474 surplus for the year.

In April 2014, Towson restructured station management, creating Towson University Public Media Inc., a separate nonprofit, to handle fundraising. Yasko also served as executive director of TUPM.
