In the first few months of the pandemic, Maryland Public Television knew it wanted to find ways to bring people together around positivity. The entire organization came together for a series of meetings to discuss who positive change-makers were throughout communities in our state. We sourced story ideas from our entire staff, involving much more than our usual content team in the process of producing. We subsequently have featured over 20 segments in the series, which has screened on our broadcast channels, as well as on our website and social media platforms. The series has reached over 70,000 viewers online, and enabled us to work with a variety of local partners; individuals, organizations, and companies who are truly working to make their communities better in the face of this global crisis.
