Public Media Company is a national non-profit organization that fosters sustainable public media growth and impact. Founded in 2001 as a 501(c)3 for the purpose of strengthening and expanding public broadcasting services in communities nationwide, Public Media Company has advised more than 300 public television and radio stations and organizations on business plans, acquisitions and other initiatives that drive innovative and sustainable public media growth.
Public Media Company’s work also includes the implementation of collaborative partnerships like VuHaus (vuhaus.org), Channel X (channelx.org), and the Public Media Venture Group (PMVG), which is leading public media stations to address opportunities with the new, emerging digital television standard called ATSC 3.0.
