In addition to the loss of $2.2 million in CPB funding, the dual licensee projects downturns in underwriting revenues and car donations.

KET, like other public media organizations, is absorbing the loss of federal funding to CPB.

Clayton Barsoum was promoted to an SVP role at CPB.

The organization is losing $1.1 million in annual revenue with the rescission of CPB funds.

The program will be administered through the Bureau of Indian Affairs’ Office of Indigenous Connectivity and Technology, according to Sen. Rounds’ staff. 

The state network is looking to save at least $1.5 million annually.

“I want to thank you all so much for giving me the opportunity to lead the organization and to have an impact in this industry,” Goldstein said. 

“I certainly can’t budget anything that I don’t know is coming, so I’m definitely not planning for it now,” said one station leader.

It’s an “enormously energizing moment to be on the radio and doing journalism,” Glass told attendees at the Public Media Content Conference.

Detrow will take on his new role Sept. 29.
