With the legal dispute between NPR and CPB settled, PMI's leaders discuss their plans for providing new distribution services to public media.

The organization is looking to use the funds to increase staffing capacity, expand initiatives and bolster infrastructure. 

The fund will provide $26 million to 74 public media organizations.

The grants will go to public radio and television stations in eight states.

The community radio station is out more than $110,000 following the loss of its federal funding.

Greene said he plans to have an “ambitious philanthropic strategy from day one" and will also consider "ways to rebuild trust.”

Proceeds from NPR Network donations and podcast subscriptions will be distributed to stations in January.

More than 60 stations are carrying the program hosted by David Greene.

NPR and Public Media Infrastructure will both receive interconnection funding.

“I'm especially passionate about the opportunity to support public radio stations that are lifelines for communities across America,” Evans said.

The program will be funded through 2031.

Minnesota Public Radio will lead the collaboration.

“My time at WUSF has been incredibly rewarding,” Urofsky said.
