Frank Mueller named station manager of Utah Public Radio

Frank Mueller was named station manager of Utah Public Radio in Logan.

Mueller started in the role July 1. He succeeds Tom Williams and Kerry Bringhurst, who had co-managed the station since 2019. The duo announced their retirement in February. 

The new station manager most recently served as director of programming and broadcast operations for WPSU in State College, Pa. Penn State University, WPSU’s licensee, approved the sale of the station last year to WHYY in Philadelphia.

Mueller started in public media managing station operations at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, according to a press release from Utah State University, UPR’s licensee. He later became GM of the Las Vegas station. He later owned and operated a small radio group in Utah Valley and taught at Utah Valley University before joining WPSU.

Mueller will also serve as a faculty member in USU’s College of Arts and Sciences.
