Hasanna Birdsong to lead Lehigh Valley Public Media as CEO
Lehigh Valley Public Media in Bethlehem, Pa., has named Hasanna Birdsong its next CEO.
Birdsong, who currently works for packaging engineering and consulting company Adept Group in Allentown as managing director, starts at LVPM June 30, according to a news release.
Birdsong’s LinkedIn shows she has been managing director since October 2020 after starting at Adept as VP of sales in 2019.
Former Lehigh Valley Public Media CEO Tim Fallon transitioned to CEO emeritus in April 2024 after leading the dual-licensee for 12 years and significantly expanding its news operations.
“Hasanna’s extensive experience leading transformation and innovation across media and technical consulting industries makes her the ideal leader to guide Lehigh Valley Public Media into its next chapter,” said Michael S. Keim, LVPM board chair, in the release.
Birdsong previously worked as VP of advertising at the Express-Times newspaper of Easton, Pa., and lehighvalleylive.com. She held that VP role from 2011 to 2013 after joining the company in 2009 as online sales director. LehighValleyLive.com is operated by Advance Local’s NJ Advance Media group of properties.
LVPM now operates its own local news site, LehighValleyNews.com, serving Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton, Pa.
