American Public Media’s The Splendid Table will join the Vox Media Podcast Network.

Vox announced Monday that it will take on sales and distribution of the podcast version of the show, along with its spinoff The One Recipe

The Splendid Table will keep airing on more than 400 public radio stations. The food and lifestyle program started in 1995 on Minnesota Public Radio with food writer Lynne Rossetto Kasper hosting the program until 2018, when food writer Francis Lam became host.

The program won James Beard Foundation Awards in 1998 and 2008.

“We’re thrilled by this partnership that expands the reach of The Splendid Table’s prestigious legacy brand to Vox Media alongside its renowned Gastropod podcast and Eater brand,” APM VP of Revenue Strategy Thomas De Napoli said in the news release. “Leveraging these top-tier platforms, we aim to drive audience growth and to expand multi-channel access to trusted content and experiences loved by people from all walks of life. Innovative collaborations like this ensure The Splendid Table continues to thrive and evolve in an ever-changing media landscape.”

This isn’t the only collaboration between Vox and public media. WNYC began distributing Vox’s Today, Explained in 2022.

Collaborations between The Splendid Table and Vox’s Eater are also being explored, the release said.

“We’re so excited to partner with The Splendid Table to explore the many ways we can grow together, especially alongside the leading food brands and shows within the Vox Media ecosystem,” Vox Executive Director of Podcast Business Lillian Xu said in the release.
