Jason Miller has taken over as station manager of KVLU Public Radio in Beaumont, Texas.
He replaces Byron Balentine, who retired last year after 17 years as station manager. Miller’s first day in the new role was April 1.
“It’s a great feeling and a great honor,” Miller said in a news release from Lamar University, the station’s licensee. “Being here for so many years and seeing so many changes over the years from technology to radio to new media and with university things changing and growing, it’s an honor to be able to steer the ship now.”
Miller had previously worked as the station’s production director since 2005.
