Be Current’s source, sustain our service

More

Every year at this time, we ask our readers to support Current in our NewsMatch campaign. Why donate to Current? I’ll tell you why!

Information is essential to a healthy public media system. Current strives to provide essential information. We work hard to keep people in public media informed and connected as a professional community.

Current is the place where you can find out what’s happening at stations of all sizes and read about what’s up at NPR, PBS and CPB. It’s where you learn about the solutions your peers are testing to tackle big challenges in our field — whether that’s DEI, digital services or economic pressures. It’s home to Local that Works, a celebration of uniquely local public service media. It’s where you keep track of who’s changing jobs and where they are going. Current is where you find thought leadership on the past, present and future of public media.

Current is also where you find thought-provoking virtual events. This year, Current produced seven webinars on a variety of topics — from DEI strategies to engaging Latino communities, the secrets of successful local podcasts and how to become a “go-to” news source.

This is content and coverage you simply can’t find anywhere else. Current plays an important and irreplaceable role in the public media system. We’re your source of public media news. Be our source. Donate!

Current is a nonprofit news organization. Your donation sends our hardworking staff the message that their work matters. Your donation helps make this work possible.

Thanks to NewsMatch and the Wyncote Foundation, your donation will be matched 100%, so your gift between now and Dec. 31 will have twice the impact. NewsMatch is an important opportunity for Current to raise the funds we need to produce the content you depend on.

When you donate to Current, your gift benefits all of public media. So please donate today and help sustain Current’s unique service to our field.

We also invite donors to nominate colleagues who inspire them to the Public Media Honor Roll. When you make a gift of $100 or more, we’ll add your nominee’s name to the Honor Roll and let them know you gave in their honor. This is a kind way to acknowledge someone who has made a difference to you this year or in your career, to your organization or to public media in general. And you’ll get the additional benefit of knowing that you’ll be helping Current, too. Thank you for your generous support.
