Corinne Smith will step down as GM of KTNA in Talkeetna, Alaska.

Smith began volunteering at the radio station in 1995 and became GM in December 2016. “My last day will be somewhat dependent on when the next GM can begin work, but I am planning for a departure in the first quarter of 2022,” Smith said in an email.

Smith’s husband has been retired for almost eight years, she said, “and is anxious for me to be more available and have a more flexible schedule for traveling and enjoying Alaska.”

Smith plans to enjoy her free time and pursue creative hobbies. She also will continue volunteering for KTNA, interviewing musicians, reading news and serving on the editorial board of The Blue Tarp, a program and podcast.
