Cohen joined WBUR in 2023 as managing producer of local news programs. He previously worked for Connecticut Public, first as a reporter and fill-in host and later as news director. “I’m beyond excited to double down on independent journalism, WBUR, public media, and the expanding group of listeners who value them,” Cohen said on LinkedIn. “I can’t make you turn on the radio, but I can make sure it’s excellent when you do. And I’m ready to do my part.”

She joined WUCF-FM in 1994 as a host and helped turn the station into a full-time straight-ahead jazz station as music director and podcast productions director. She also helped launch a Latin jazz HD2 channel. “I feel incredibly lucky to have enjoyed such a long career doing what I love alongside a delightful cast of characters at this remarkable university,” Riley said in a news release. “Being a part of this community’s days, drives and lives has meant everything to me, and I’ll be forever grateful for the memories.”

From 1998–2008, Walker was executive director and national fundraising director for the Classical Public Radio Network, a joint venture among CPR, CPB and KUSC in Los Angeles. She joined CPR in 2008. “I hope over the years we’ve shared a few laughs together, discovered something new about music and composers, and had those ‘driveway moments’ when a piece was simply too beautiful to turn off,” she said in a CPR news story. “We’ve lived through many stunning Colorado days together—and held onto the beauty of music when the world felt especially heavy. All through the power of radio.”
