Anne Hosler will lead Montana Public Radio and KUFM-TV, a part of the MontanaPBS network, in her new role as director of the University of Montana’s Broadcast Media Center.
She replaces Ray Ekness, who was at the helm from 2016 until his 2023 retirement, the university announced Monday.
Hosler, who has undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of Montana, joined Broadcast Media Center in 2012 and has been its interim director.
Previously director of development for Missoula-based Montana Public Radio, she was responsible for leading pledge drives and raising more than $2 million each year for the station, a news release said.
“Recognizing the pivotal role local public television and radio play for so many citizens of our state, and the potential impact this position holds in serving communities across Montana and beyond with an excellent public service, fills me with energy and eagerness to contribute to this endeavor in the role of Director of the Broadcast Media Center,” Hosler said in the release.
