Rebecca Eaton, EP at large for Masterpiece, will retire from the series produced by GBH in Boston in November.

Eaton

Eaton previously served as EP from 1985–2019. She told Current in 2020 that the role of EP at large allowed her to focus on collaborating with writers and producers.

“During her tenure, Masterpiece earned 62 Primetime Emmy Awards, 16 Peabody Awards, six Golden Globes, and two Academy Award nominations,” said GBH CEO Susan Goldberg in a news release. “Thank you, Rebecca, for your decades bringing such joy to thousands of viewers each week.”

St. Louis Public Radio announced staff changes.

Hiba Ahmad joined the newsroom as an education reporter. Ahmad most recently worked for NPR as a producer. She joined the network in 2018 as a Weekend Edition intern and has also been a news assistant, production assistant, assistant producer and associate producer.

Jessica Rogen became digital editor. Rogen most recently worked for the Riverfront Times, first as editor-at-large and later as managing editor. She has also been a managing editor, editor-in-chief and publisher for Boulevard magazine.

Brian Munoz was promoted to visuals editor. Munoz joined STLPR in 2021 as a staff photojournalist and multimedia reporter. He most recently worked as interim digital editor.

Development

Nebrich-Duda

Robyn Nebrich-Duda was named executive director of development for Arizona PBS. Nebrich-Duda most recently worked as director of planned giving and philanthropy at the Barrow Neurological Foundation in Phoenix. She also worked in development for TGen and was executive director of the Arizona Students’ Association.

Moini

Nina Moini was named host of Minnesota Now, a daily news program produced by Minnesota Public Radio. Next month, Moini will take over for Cathy Wurzer, who is leaving the program to focus on hosting Morning Edition. Moini joined MPR in 2018 as a senior reporter and has also been a host and interim editor. “We wanted Minnesota Now to be an on-ramp for people who didn’t think public radio was for them and I think we’ve done that,” said Duchesne Drew, president of Minnesota Public Radio, in a news release. “Handing the microphone to Nina Moini who is an incredibly talented and respected member of our MPR News team is recognition of her talent.”

Macmillan

Beth Macmillan became a columnist for Art Views, a weekly online publication produced by PBS Reno in Nevada. Macmillan is executive director of Artown, a nonprofit in Reno that she joined in 2001 as festival manager. She is also host of Arteffects, a series produced by the station. “Art Views is an extension of our award-earning series Arteffects here at PBS Reno and Beth Macmillan is a wonderful addition to our talented team of columnists,” said Megan Myers, PBS Reno VP of content, in a news release. “Through Art Views, we provide a platform to further explore and promote our culturally-rich arts community and elevate more artists whose voices enrich our region in such beautiful and different ways.”

Bahar Ostadan said on X, formerly known as Twitter, that she is leaving her position as a New York Police Department and public safety reporter for New York Public Radio to join Newsday as a reporter covering Nassau County politics. Ostadan joined NYPR in 2022 as an accountability reporter after freelancing for The New York Times, The Guardian, The Washington Post, Vogue and The Village Voice.

Education

Villanueva and Fiore

PBS Reno in Nevada hired Gabriela Villanueva and Darius Fiore as education coordinators. Villanueva most recently worked as a subsidy specialist for the Children’s Cabinet, a nonprofit in Reno. She has also been an education intern for the station. Fiore most recently worked as a delivery driver, dishwasher and server for Sizzle Pie in Reno. At Sizzle Pie he also helped display local art from the Holland Project and helped host events with KWNK, a community radio station that partners with the Holland Project and the University of Nevada Reno’s online radio station Wolf Pack Radio.
