  • Pubmedia’s datacasting startup forges content partnership with Sesame Workshop

    The Information Equity Initiative has signed Sesame Workshop as its first content partner for distribution over its datacasting network.  By next June, videos and interactive content from the nonprofit educational media company will be available to parents and children at kiosks in 300 health centers across Pennsylvania. The federally qualified centers serve 900,000 clients annually, including nearly a quarter-million children under age 18.

    WSHU in Fairfield, Conn., could have covered the 10-year anniversary of the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in a number of ways. The station’s team decided on a narrative podcast, which as host Davis Dunavin put it, allowed them to “tell the bigger story” about how the shooting has — and has not — changed the community where it happened.
