Are you passionate about public media?
Do you geek out about innovation and digging deep into the challenges facing public TV and radio?
Are you informed, inquisitive and inclusive? A good listener, writer, independent thinker and engaging conversationalist?
Are you now or have you ever been a host or a producer of public media content?
If so, maybe you should be the next host and producer of The Pub. Current seeks a bold, dynamic talent to be the new voice and shaper of this biweekly podcast as our longtime host steps down. The Pub is a great platform for meaningful exploration of the past, present and future of public media, and an excellent opportunity to connect with people — from millennials to senior executives — throughout the system.
This is a part-time, contract position. We are looking to continue producing biweekly episodes of at least 20 minutes in length. The host/producer will be paid per episode.
Are you ready? Send us:
- A kick-ass letter in which you tell us what you’d do as host of The Pub
- Your resume
- Three examples of your audio work for broadcast and/or podcast. Please provide a sample of your interviewing skills if you have worked in that role. Otherwise, we’ll accept samples of reporting and other audio work as well.
