Pipeline 2020, Current’s latest survey of new programs coming to public TV, provides a snapshot of 96 productions in the works for national distribution, beginning in January.

Created from information submitted by or for producers, the list includes limited series and specials from PBS signature series, independent filmmakers and distributors, minority consortia and public TV stations. The productions are intended for prime-time, weekly or pledge-drive broadcasts in January 2020 and beyond, though most aim to debut sometime next year.

Our thanks to producers and their distributors and publicists, who supplied most of the information.

  1. Hi Current,

Several weeks ago I completed a Pipeline form online for “Real Rail Adventures: Swiss International Hubs with Jeff Wilson,” a co-production of Small World and KCTS/Cascade Public Media, Seattle. APT Exchange will fed this new 60-minute travel documentary on April 1, 2020. Please can “RRA: Swiss Hubs” be added to the pipeline listings above? Or perhaps there is more information elsewhere at Current of which I’m unaware. If so, please let me know. Thanks for any and all help in informing the stations about this free doc–greatly appreciated. “RRA Swiss Hubs” is the fourth special in this Telly Award winning and Emmy nominated series. John
