A second photographer has claimed that NPR violated copyright by using one of his photos without permission.

Rony Zakaria, a photographer based in Indonesia, filed a lawsuit Monday alleging that NPR did not license or have permission to use his photo of Indonesian metal band Voice of Baceprot in an article posted on NPR’s website Aug. 9. The suit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Zakaria is seeking monetary relief. He is being represented by the Liebowitz Law Firm, which is representing another photographer in a copyright infringement lawsuit filed against NPR earlier this year.

In that case, the parties are exchanging drafts of a settlement agreement and hope to reach a final settlement shortly, according to an Aug. 29 motion.
