PBS claims the most honors at Daytime Creative Emmy Awards

Programs on PBS won 15 Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, the most presented to any media outlet at the honors Saturday.

Mind of a Chef claimed five statuettes. PBS Kids shows Odd Squad took four, Sesame Street won three and Peg+Cat, two. This Old House won one.

Creative Daytime Emmys recognize behind-the-scenes craftsmanship.

Those Emmys went to:

Mind of a Chef for each co-host, Gabrielle Hamilton and David Kinch; individual achievement in animation, Production Designer Mike Houston; directing in a lifestyle/culinary/travel program, directors Anna Chai and Siobhan Walshe; main title and graphic design, Art Director Daniel de Graaf, Design and Graphics Director Adam Lupsha, Lead Artist Mike Houston; and cinematography, Jeremy Leach, Fredrick Menou and Ethan Mills.

Odd Squad for writing in a children’s or pre-school series, Head Writer Tim McKeon, Writer Charles Johnston, Story Editor Mark De Angelis; directing in a children’s or preschool series, directors J.J. Johnson, Stephen Reynolds, Brian K. Roberts, Stefan Scaini, Craig David Wallace; costume design/styling, Costume Designer Christine Toye; hairstyling, Key Hairstylist Patricia Cuthbert.

Sesame Street for preschool series, Executive Producer Carol-Lynn Parente, Supervising Producer Nadine Zylstra, Senior Producer Benjamin Lehmann, Coordinating Producer April Coleman, Producer Mindy Fila, Line Producer Stephanie Longardo; sound mixing — live action, Production Mixer Chris Prinzivalli and Re-Recording Mixers Michael Barrett, Michael Croiter, Dick Maitland; sound editing — live action, Supervising Sound Editors Barrett and Prinzivalli, Supervising Music Editor Croiter, Music Editors Jorge Muelle and Paul Rudolph, Sound Editor Chris Sassano, Sound Effects Editor Maitland.

Peg+Cat for writing in a preschool animated program, Head Writer Billy Lopez, Writers Billy Aronson, David Steven Cohen, Kevin Del Aguila, Dustin Ferrer, Qui Nguyen and Jennifer Oxley; music direction and composition, Music Supervisor Steven Rebollido, Music Director J. Walter Hawkes, Composers Martin Erskine and D.D. Jackson.

This Old House for lifestyle program, Executive Producers Chris Wolfe and Deborah Hood, Senior Producer John Tomlin, Coordinating Producer Sara Ferguson, Producer Jo Walker-Sagar, Segment Producer Alyssa Gantz Thompson.

Also, at the Daytime Emmy Awards Sunday, Frank Welker, the voice of Curious George, and Sonia Manzano, Maria on Sesame Street, won Lifetime Achievement Awards.
