Thanks to INN and Project Largo, a new look for Current

Welcome to the new Current! We hope that you find our redesigned site easier to read and find your way around. And if you’re visiting the site on a phone or tablet, you’ll definitely find it a better experience — no more squinting, tapping or zooming.

Among the site’s new features, you can put a name to a face without having to Google-stalk us, and learn a little more about our staff as well. We hope that the streamlined navigation and improved display of tags and related stories will give you more reasons to stay with us longer. And in coming months, we’d like to roll out new features and special coverage that take full advantage of our shiny new digs.

With this redesign, we join more than 100 sites already using Project Largo, a WordPress framework created by the Institute for Nonprofit News (of which Current is a member). Many thanks to the great staff at INN for transitioning us to Largo — Adam Schweigert, Ryan Nagle, Kaeti Hinck and Will Haynes.

To celebrate our new site, we have a special giveaway for you. Sign up here and you might win one of the brand-new T-shirts for our podcast, The Pub. And while you’re at it, get our weekly newsletter if you’re not already receiving it.

Also, our new online Directory of Services allows public media decision-makers to locate vendors by name, category and/or keyword search. Vendors can submit listing information online. Email us at [email protected] for more information.

Of course, we always welcome your feedback. Please let us know what you like and don’t like about the new site, and if anything is broken, don’t hesitate to point it out. You can email me at [email protected].

Thanks for reading!
